Calcium-enriched cookies are very important to include in every kids’ diets. Calcium is known as a key building block for strong, healthy bones that plays an important role in muscle contraction, transmitting messages through the nerves, and the release of hormones. But, according to kidshealth.org, more than 85% of girls and 60% of boys ages 9 to 18 fail to get the recommended 1,300 milligrams of calcium per day.
To ensure that the kids will get the daily recommended calcium needs, the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Institute of Fisheries made a nutritious calcium-enriched cookies from bangus bones that can also be an additional source of income for mommies.
