After two months of summer hang-up, opening of classes have been one of the things which make mothers busy and makes kid excited too. We have prepared various easy-to-prepare “baon” recipes, recycling left-over foods or making a new twist in your regular baon ideas. We will be using some of the products like hot dogs, breads, and sweets for this back to school recipes.
Yummy Ham Burger
Ingredients:
1 cup sweetened ham of any products you like, minced
2 tbsp green bell pepper, finely chopped
2 tbsp carrots, finely chopped
2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh parsely, finely chopped
¼ tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 pc egg, beaten
2 tbsp flour
¼ cup bread crumbs
2 tbsp cooking oil
2 tbsp butter
Procedure:
Combine ham, green bell pepper, onion, parsley, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Blend in beaten egg, flour and bread crumbs with hands or wooden spoon. Divide mixture into 5 portions and shape into burgers. Chill to set for at least 1 hour. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat until hot. Fry ham burgers for about 5 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Serve with toasted slit buns, if desired. Makes 5 servings.
Ham Salad in June Buns
Ingredients:
2 cup cheese you desired, diced
1 pc celery, chopped
1 pc onion, finely chopped
6 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp pickle relish
1 tbsp sweet pickle juice
1/8 tsp pepper
Salt, to taste
Hard-boiled
Egg, chopped
Lettuce
Soft rolls or pandesal, split
Procedure:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt to taste. Arrange lettuce on rolls; fill with the ham salad. Makes 6 servings.
Kiddie Chicken Spaghetti
Ingredients:
1/3 cup Dari Creme Classic
2 tbps garlic, chopped
½ cup onion, chopped
½ kilo Magnolia ground chicken
2 cup tomato sauce
½ cups chicken stock
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
½ kilo spaghetti, cooked according to package directions
Magnolia Quickmelt Cheese, grated
potato chips (crushed) or potato shoestrings
Glad Ovenware 8×8
Procedure:
1. Melt butter in a saucepan. Saute garlic, onions and ground chicken.
2. When chicken changes color, add the tomato sauce and chicken stock. Season with sugar, salt and pepper.
3. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Transfer pasta to a Glad Ovenware 8×8. Place sauce over cooked pasta and top with grated cheese while still hot.
4. Place in a preheated 350oF oven and cook until cheese melts. Sprinkle with potato shoestrings.
Brownie Melt
Ingredients:
¾ cup Magnolia Baker’s Best Margarine
¾ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup maple syrup
2 tbsp corn oil
1 ½ cup sugar
3 pcs eggs
¾ cup Baron all purpose flour
(1) 200-grm bar Magnolia Quickmelt Cheese,
cut into small cubes
Glad Bake Paper
Procedure:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350F. In a saucepan, melt Baker’s Best Margarine, cocoa powder, maple syrup and corn oil over low heat. Let cool.
2. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light in color. Fold in flour and chocolate mixture. Add Quickmelt Cheese. Blend well.
3. Pour into Glad Ovenware lined with Glad Bake Paper. Or line a 9 x 13″ baking pan with Glad Bake Paper.
4. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm.
