Picture this: it’s Sunday afternoon, you just got home from spending the day with your friends drinking mimosas and having brunch, then the Sunday scaries start to creep in. After a weekend spent relaxing and having fun, a new work week is approaching and you’re just not ready. Sound familiar? We’ve all been there.

Monday blues aren’t uncommon, but with a little preparation and a positive attitude, you can easily turn those Monday blues around and make Monday your favorite day of the week. Here are a few tips to help you on your way to loving Mondays.

Plan Monday on Friday

To-do lists are essential for staying organized and on top of your work tasks, so why not make the list on Friday so you’re already prepared when Monday rolls around? When you wrap up your workweek on Friday, make a list of all of the projects and tasks you need to get done on Monday and throughout the week. Doing this will help relieve some of the stress that Monday can bring so you can enter the new work week with ease.

Create a Morning Routine

Having a morning routine on Mondays is another great way to ease into the week after a nice weekend. Try adopting habits like meditating and journaling to get in the right mindset and include small things you enjoy into your routine, like a skincare routine or making yourself a cup of coffee. Make a routine you feel excited about so you’re motivated to get up and start your Monday off on the right foot.

Wear Your Favorite Outfit

While it may not be your first thought, putting on an outfit you feel confident and comfortable in can easily turn your Monday blues right around. Whether you want to work from home in your favorite pair of workout leggings and hoodie or go into the office with jeans and a blazer, wearing an outfit you love on Monday can put you in a great mood.
