Grassroots Baseball’s feature-length film is about women’s baseball around the globe and follows the lives of seven stars who are at the pinnacle of their game and represent the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Japan, South Korea, Cuba and Uganda. In the intense battle for the World Cup Championship, they want victory — for themselves, for their team, for their countries, and for the sheer love of the game—but their greatest triumph is the path they are blazing for future generations of female players.

“We created SEE HER BE HER to provide visibility with the hope of creating more opportunities for girls and women around the world to play the game. And for all the girls and women watching, to see her, they can also dream to one day be her,” said Grassroots Baseball co-founder and the film’s director and producer, Jean Fruth. “We could not be more thankful to Dolby and AMC Theatres for helping us to deliver this important program which will increase exposure for women’s baseball and help Little League Baseball grow its ‘Girls with Game’ program.”

“Our mission centers on championing impactful narratives and empowering creatives to share their stories and voices with the world,” said Joan Scott, Senior Director, Social Impact & Sustainability at Dolby Laboratories. “We are happy to have played a part in the SEE HER BE HER tour by collaborating with Grassroots Baseball to kick off the inaugural screening and help spread awareness of their mission.”

“We are proud to partner with Dolby and Grassroots Baseball to bring SEE HER BE HER to audiences across the country, shining a light on the incredible women shaping the future of baseball,” said Ryan Noonan, Vice President, Corporate Communications & Public Relations, AMC. “By showcasing their stories in the glorious cinematic experience of Dolby Cinema at AMC, we hope to help empower the next generation of female athletes and fans.”
