When going on a business trip, you want the whole experience to be as smooth as possible, and that involves a fair amount of planning. After all, if everything is taken care of, you can focus solely on the work at hand.

The one thing you most certainly want to avoid is arriving at your destination and realizing you have forgotten something. To avoid this in the future, here is everything you need to pack for a business trip.

Your Passport and Other Documents

The documents you need depend on how far you are going – if you are going abroad, you will, of course, need more than if you are staying in the country.

Make sure you book everything in advance and have your tickets prepared before you set off. There is more to book than just your transport and hotel, too – you will need to figure out airport parking and restaurant bookings. If you are jetting off from Orlando, then use Orlando airport parking for great deals.

Clothes

The chances are you will not forget clothes, but you must make sure you have an outfit for all occasions. Of course, business-wear is essential, but you should also pack casual clothes in-case you have a day spare.

Toiletries

If you are meeting with business partners and clients, you want to look your best, so make sure you do not forget your toiletries. That includes:

  • Shower gel
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Perfume/aftershave
  • Deodorant
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste

Of course, some hotels in Orlando will have these already waiting for you, but it is better to be prepared.

Electronics

You will need your electronics during the trip, so remember to pack your laptop, phone, and any other gadgets you use daily. Do not forget the chargers and any plug adapters as you do not want to be stuck in an unknown city with a 5% battery and no way to charge!

Business Cards

If you plan on doing some networking while on your trip (and why wouldn’t you?) then make sure you take some business cards along with you. Even if you do not expect to need them, it is always best to have some spare, just in case.

Medications

Medications are important for any trip, so make sure they are with you when you leave. It is not easy to get hold of prescriptions when you are away, and you do not want to be left without them. It is also best to be prepared by taking over-the-counter medications like painkillers if you suffer from headaches or body aches. After all, you want to be on top form!

Notebook and Pen

While you might be a frequent user of the Notebook app, do not underestimate the benefits of carrying a physical notebook and pen wherever you go. If you are in a meeting, it will look much more professional if you are jotting notes on paper rather than typing on your phone!

You never know when you will need to scribble bits of information down, so pack it for your trip and take it with you whenever you leave the hotel.

Business trips can be stressful, but by being prepared with your packing, you ensure the trip goes as smoothly as possible.

  1. Hi! ParkON has great deals on parking. I haven’t used them for MCO but I have used them for LAX and MIA. I have also used CheapAirportParking, they seem to have similar lots at around the same prices. I discovered Cheap because the lot I wanted was sold out on ParkON.
